Phoenix / Euroblock

Phoenix / Euroblock Connectors

Screw-terminal or push-in connectors used on professional AV equipment.

Types

  • 3.5mm pitch: Most common on DSPs and amplifiers (QSC, Biamp, Crestron)
  • 5.0mm / 5.08mm pitch: Larger gauge, used on some amplifiers and control systems

Common Uses in AV

  • Audio inputs/outputs on DSPs
  • Speaker outputs on commercial amplifiers
  • Control system I/O (relays, GPIO)
  • Contact closure connections

Key Considerations

  • Removable plug mates with header on device — allows pre-wiring
  • Always label wires before connecting (strip, tin, insert)
  • Check pin pitch before ordering — 3.5mm and 5.0mm are NOT interchangeable
  • Use ferrules on stranded wire for reliable connections
