Open standard protocol for controlling projectors and displays over IP.
Specification
- Class 1: Basic control (power, input select, mute, status)
- Class 2: Extended features (freeze, lens control, serial number)
- Port: TCP 4352
- Authentication: Optional MD5-based password
Supported Commands
- Power on/off and status query
- Input source selection
- AV mute (blank screen)
- Error status (lamp, filter, temperature, cover)
- Lamp hours query
Key Considerations
- Supported by most commercial projectors and many displays
- Simple text-based protocol — easy to implement in any control system
- Useful as a universal fallback when manufacturer-specific control isn't available
- Limited feature set compared to manufacturer-specific RS-232/IP protocols
