Clearport/Crestron NVX

Crestron NVX

Crestron DM NVX is Crestron's AV-over-IP platform for routing video, audio, USB, and control over standard gigabit Ethernet. In network terms the important point is that it is a proprietary Crestron video ecosystem built on multicast behavior, not an open cross-vendor video standard. Routing can be handled by a Crestron control system or by DM NVX Director virtual switching appliances.

Use the configured even UDP TS port; 4570 is the documented default. This rule is limited to the named Doc. 9219 model family and must not be copied to 38X endpoints without their own supported mapping.

configuration · Optional · Model-specific media profile

Select the exact NVX model and firmware media profile before assigning its transport rule.

DM-NVX-384/384C/385/385C stream selection; no transport assigned from contradictory generic table

The 38X settings identify the TS port but do not resolve the TCP label in Security Reference Guide 8560H. No numeric media allowance is approved for that unresolved model mapping. Obtain the installed model/firmware schedule. A separate row documents UDP TS only for the E10/E20-family configuration explicitly supported by Doc. 9219.

Gotchas & IT Notes

  • ⚠This profile covers documented 38x streaming defaults. Select the model for AES67, PTP, USB and management requirements.
  • ⚠Configure multicast forwarding, QoS and bandwidth for all simultaneous streams. Secure control and content protection are independent features.
  • ⚠Do not approve the 4570 media rule until its transport is confirmed for the deployed firmware; the cited Crestron sources conflict.
  • ⚠The UDP 4570 TS rule is scoped to the Doc. 9219 E10/E20-family profile. The contradictory 38X/generic transport mapping is withdrawn from the operational schedule and retained only as model-selection guidance.
