LW3 (Lightware Protocol 3)
LW3 is Lightware’s tree-based ASCII control protocol. Native TCP, WebSocket and serial access depend on the device family and firmware. This entry covers UCX-HC60 network control and the HDMI-TPS-TX200 serial control mode; product discovery, updates and LARA integrations need their own service inventory.
Scope: Native LW3; UCX-HC60 WS/WSS profile and HDMI-TPS-TX200 serial profile

Infrastructure Requirements
- Use the target device’s command tree and enabled transport. Match authentication, certificates, CR/LF framing and case rules to its firmware manual. Inventory discovery, updates, serial tunnelling, LARA integrations and media services separately.

6.7.1 serial mode; 6.7.4 local protocol selection; 7 LW3 referenceconfiguration · Optional · LARA integrations
Record each enabled LARA module’s configured destination or listener, protocol and port.
Selected LARA modules and controlled devices
LARA includes client and server drivers. A REST client targets a configured device; a TCP server accepts configured client connections. Create network rules from those module settings.

- ⚠UCX-HC60 provides raw TCP 6107, WS at ws://device/lw3 and WSS at wss://device/lw3. Select only the transports used by the controller.
- ⚠Serial pass-through is different from local LW3 control. HDMI-TPS-TX200 requires Control mode and the LW3 protocol selection.
- ⚠LARA integrations use the configured external device/service endpoints. This entry does not establish a universal LARA port range.
