NMOS IS-04 / IS-05
AMWA NMOS defines interoperable discovery/registration and connection management for media systems. IS-04 inventories nodes/resources; IS-05 configures sender/receiver transport parameters. It does not transport media.
Scope: NMOS IS-04 / IS-05 — requirements depend on the selected profile.

Infrastructure Requirements
- Compatible NMOS API versions and security profile
- node, registry/query and connection endpoints
- separate media and timing infrastructure.

Gotchas & IT Notes
- ⚠Select compatible API versions and supported transports. IS-07/08/09/10 cover different optional functions; IS-06 is deprecated.
- ⚠NMOS does not replace RTP media, PTP timing or bandwidth/multicast engineering.
