SMPTE ST 2110
SMPTE ST 2110 carries separately timed media essence streams over managed IP: video, audio and ancillary or metadata streams. Common clocking and session descriptions allow receivers to reconstruct the intended presentation.

Use compatible ST 2059-2 PTP timing and SDP clock declarations.
ST 2110 system timing
Engineer traffic delivery for the selected essence. Video sender shaping is specified separately by ST 2110-21; AES67 interoperability also constrains PTP message rates.
Gotchas & IT Notes
- ⚠Check exact media profile, format, packet time and firmware interoperability. Select discovery/orchestration services only where implemented.
- ⚠IGMP snooping and a querier are typical switched multicast design measures; clocking and routing must follow the selected profile.
